Medicinal plant products and organic herbs for health maintenance, essential oils

From ancient history to modern times plants have been used as a source of medicine and most drugs and cures today are derived from research on plants. With international commerce made easier via Internet an increasing population of the developed countries has access to medicinal sources and has got a chance to experiment a succesful cure. From a first experiment, turning to herbal remedies is the next step in the search of a healthy, balanced metabolism assuming that natural molecules in natural carriers are better accepted by the human body.

In South East Asia the reliance on the traditional medical service has always been predominant among many rural areas, where modern health service provided by governments may not yet be fully acceptable for people. As a result of WHO conference on indigenous medicine and the announcement of Alma Ata urging member countries to include medicinal plants in their primary health care system, the Thai ministry of Health has promoted research and development programs that recognize and integrate traditional medicine and medicinal plants in its primary health care system. But medicinal plants are a valuable resource in the face of the threats of increasing demand, a vastly increasing human population and extensive forest destruction. At Aleyagarden we are looking for importers of organic plants or plant products to be grown on our land, a pristine land in altitude in Petchabun province, surrounded only by national parcs, far away from cities, industries, large scale agriculture, orchards and other polluting sources.
