We produce and export Hoya plants, Hoya cuttings, botanical plants, rhizomes, bromeliad, adenium, heliconia, ant plants, air plants and caudex, bulbs, aroids, ferns and fern allies. We can reserve fresh Hoya seeds, spores, fresh Orchid seeds, fresh Adenium and Plumeria seeds.
Our nursery is situated ( see the map ) in the province of Phang Nga, near Khok Kloi town, in an agricultural area covered with Hevea plantations and vegetable gardens, bordered by forests and rivers, but only 35 km to Phuket international airport in Thailand . We are only 10 km to the nicest beaches.
Trees bring air flows and shade on aleyagarden site
The plants are debagged, washed, treated and wrapped cautiously and fast in an area where light is reduced. In the often cloudy Phuket province the temperature is 4 Celsius deg. lower than anywhere else in Thailand, humdity is often higher : the conditions are perfect for packing live plants.
At a cycling tour near aleyagarden
Our customers visiting us can ride our bicycles with printed maps of the area. We welcome experienced campers in tropical nature, our tents and the use of basic facilities near the river that borders the site are free.
Pictures on the site and around, in the jungle; beautiful beaches are just 10 km away - but be careful with RIP CURRENTS near the shore in the rainy season ( May to November ) . Also be aware that a relatively calm Adaaman sea with moderate waves can always hide a much stronger wave, anytime, that will submerge you or your kids.
To this regard Layan beach or Nai yang beaches have the safest slopes. Naiyang extends along the many large trees of a beautiful park.

In this retail shop we sell before the weekends to all countries generous plants, take pictures before closing the parcels and confirm sending by email with the postal registration number and pictures : you can watch them on our facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/aleya.garden or watch them here

You can track your EMS parcel and sometimes before delivery small parcels air, on the Postal site of your own country in three steps on Track-Trace :
and on these two other tracking sites :
Usually Small Parcels Air cannot be traced online but the registration number is necessary to claim the parcel at the post office.
- You may have to register in your country before importing live plants.
- If you import often by the post you may be traced as a professional importer, hence at some point you would have to pay import taxes and duties at a customs center where you would have to fetch the parcel : the post would deny you the simplified procedure of receiving parcels and possibly paying taxes at your home.
This may explain why your parcels have been delayed after many imports that were delivered normally to your door.
- in the USA there is no permit up to 12 plants. An import permit is required for 13 plants and more :
- permits are free, they can be requested quickly online on the USDA site and they cover 5 years. See how to proceed here. Plant purchases with import permits tend to be processed faster by the customs than parcels of less than 13 plants to repeat buyers without permits. The green - yellow label with the permit number is stuck on the parcel which goes directly to the phytosanitary station before being forwarded to your place.
You can use your PayPal debit card to transfer money from your Paypal account to MoneyGram : transfer money from your Paypal account to the money sender MoneyGram. Contact us for our details as the receiver.
If you will not use a PayPal debit card :
Regarding transfer from your Paypal account to our paypal account : since Paypal account holders * are allowed to keep the goods forever and over 180 days after their purchases cancel the payments ( even cumulated payments ** ) we only accept PayPal transfers to our PayPal account for small payments of seeds. These payments are non refundable PERSONAL TRANSFERS ( Splitting expenses, Gifts ). we will offer you a converted $ price to THB ( Thai currency ) and will request to receive this net amount in THB : hence the conversion charge and fees will be on your side.
For greater amounts than those for seeds we charge these PERSONAL TRANSFERS by 10%. See the much cheaper methods of payment that we offer in the next section below.
* Even though most national laws do not extend the individual consumer protection to purchases for professional purposes, Paypal is not concerned with the national laws of their account holders.
* * Purchases can be cumulated and all payments returned : after receiving a parcel the silent buyer - consumer or professional buyer - will have the seller believe that claims are not scheduled so new orders can be sent safely. These orders can recur 180 days after the purchase, or within this time until the first claim that will alert the seller.
With TransferWise the much cheaper transfer is also faster , both recipient and sender are notified, exceptional delays are not likely to happen and mispelling the receiver's details is not an issue as rectifcation is possible even lately.
There are basically only 2 mistakes that may occur : trying to send us Euro or $ instead of having TransferWise send us Thai currency against your local money; sending under your name on TransferWise whereas your bank account is linked to a different name; these mistakes can be rectified easily or the transfer can be cancelled at no cost by email, the staff is fast and very responsive : firstname.lastname@example.org Sending with TransferWise is really easy thanks to the support staff they invested in !
In contrast to TransferWise , Banks take huge fees ( about 50 $ in the recipient's country ) to rectify an international transfer that had mispelled names or mistakes ( recipient's data, SWIFT, account number, bank address etc ). Plus the transfer is slowly sent back and it must be sent again, with all the costs.
Most banks will not charge you a fee for a local bank transfer to TransferWise, as their account is held in the same country (or banking area, for Euros) as your own, and domestic transfers are normally free. Here in Thailand we won't be charged either, for the same reason.
If you buy from us wholesale repeatedly, as we prepay your transport cost in Thailand we surely have balances after shipments, they are in THB; not only TransferWise is cheaper than the banks they also always give you more THB against your currency : with all this, that is much lower fees and a better exchange rate than the banks, you end up after transferring the money with bigger balances in THB than if we kept them in Euro or $.
Here are a text guide and a video , the video shows how to send Euro from a bank account in Pounds via TransferWise site, but to us you will send the Thai currency bought with your currency in your bank account : you can use your euro, pounds, Russian ruble, US $, Hungarian Forint, zloty, Turkish lira, Swedish krona .. etc to buy the THB. We will receive THB, not Euro or $.
TransferWise support offers a number of ways to get in touch, including live chat. If chat is available, you'll see a small green 'live chat' box in the bottom right corner of the screen on all pages of transferwise.com
TransferWise is trusted all over the world, read all the reviews
First we send you our details as the recipient and our bank account details in Thailand : TransferWise will ask you these details for your payment.
After you deposit your local money ( euro, zloty, krona etc ) on TransferWise site they email you that it is on its way to them from your bank account; in this email they also give you the number of the transfer to us and the date before which this transfer ( in Thai currency ) will be in our account in Thailand. You can forward us this email.
Then when TransferWise gets your money both you and us receive confirmation that the transfer in THB is on its way to aleyagarden bank account.
You can also send us money with a MONEY ORDER at your post office.
Or make an international bank transfer the old way, instead of buying THB on TransferWise and divide the cost of your transfer by 10 ( all charges included ).
Your Guarantee :
By choosing for your retail purchases : TRANSFERWISE, Postal Money order or the more expensive MONEYGRAM, WESTERN UNION, or WIRE TRANSFER you prefer to avoid the possibility of a Paypal dispute : instead you benefit from lower prices on a discounted retail plant list and a clear guarantee right away.
You understand your risk when importing plants from abroad. Unless delivered in soil within 24 hours all the plants that we ship will appear damaged to some extent. Regarding packing our obligation concerns the means, we can't specify the outcome.
The Secrets Behind Professional Plant Acclimatization
Why do some imports record higher survival rates ? this concerns humidity control after arrival for a week or two : water vapor in the air is the most important aspect of acclimatization; also there is a real science in bathing plants in solutions that contain hormones such as gibberellic acid.
Warm baths, lower light, controlled temperature and steady humidity in the air that surrounds the plants after travel make a real difference on the survival rates.
Cuttings may be sent in registered envelopes safely, at low cost and almost as fast as the other methods below : contact us ( your country may not require a phytosanitary certificate from Thailand. We charge 15 $ for this certificate ).
To most countries Small Parcels Air take 2 weeks on average, EMS parcels take 1 week on average.
Hoya cuttings weigh 45 gr, small rooted and rooted plants 105 gr.
Transport is free for retail orders over 500 $
Buy from TransferWise Thai currency with your debit card or online banking ( your bank online ) and instruct TransferWise to send it out to aleyagarden's bank account in Thailand.
The cost of the transfer will be about 0.5 % instead of 5 % or often more with the old way of transferring money internationally from bank to bank.
You only need your debit card details and to enter our email email@example.com and TransferWise will send the Thai currency to our bank account in Thailand.
Or if you don't have your debit card details you can use your bank online with TransferWise. Both of us will be notified by email. At the real exchange rate on 26 August 2015 if you used your debit card or your online bank on TransferWise to send us Thai currency for 1000 EUR you would save 44.65 eur as compared to the old way of transferring money from bank to bank.
Your bank does not charge you a fee for a local bank transfer to TransferWise , and for us receiving is free ... as the money comes from a local TransferWise account as well. Banks and Paypal in addition to the visible fees and as for Paypal, less predictable costs, would subtract up to 1.5 THB per Euro when converting Euro to THB on 26 August 2015. If TransferWise is still not available in your country, use MoneyGram.
Click - Zoom and see on the picture below : with MoneyGram in February 2016 it cost 10$ to send us 300 $ with your debit or credit card from your computer at home or at a counter in town.
RETAIL ORDERS : You may
* have a slow postal system, selected * the most fragile plants, * the cheapest method of transport : small parcel instead of EMS ( EMS are more likely to go through customs ), * or preferred not to pick up the parcel to avoid taxes, * you did not comply with registration rules in your country, * you don't have the necessary equipment that provide sufficient humidity for the acclimatization period of 2 weeks, or * it was very hot, or * delivery was reportedly attempted at your place and you were not present, or * you did not check the status of your parcel on a tracking site, or * the parcel was smashed in transit * etc ... whatever the reason we resend the plants at only half their price in a next order.
Buying plants at a nearby shop involves less risks than buying plants shipped by mail.If you feel that you would not cope with dead plants in the mail or with a lower survival rate than you hoped for, we advise you not to buy plants online over long distances.
Check which Hoya plants are more fragile here before sending your order to : firstname.lastname@example.org
Aleyagarden Blogs collect many comments and reports from their customers, they concern survival rates in the mail, times of transport, plant care practices including experiments.
On Facebook feel free to factually report problems and advices that other plant hobbyists would read or comment.
