Do business safely with us all year round : nowadays climate change may have catastrophic effects in Thailand as in many other places on earth but nowhere so close to an international airport ( we are 35 km to Phuket international airport ) would you find a site within this context : we are too high to be seriously flooded ( 40 meters above sea level and close to a river carrying quickly excess water to the sea only 10 km away; ), too far from the sea for the consequences of a tsunami, and we are well protected against landslides by thousands of trees. Plus, in our natural and wonderful setting the ornamental plant production under high trees is part of an overall program integrating small business activities respectful of nature : Hoya and Fern production using a natural cooling system whereby in the absence of shade cloth, smooth air circulation from ground to air above the trees is constant; cultivation, pesticide free, of ornamental flowers for bouquets under glassware, free range farming of goats fed - all year round - with fresh organic tree leaves, algae grown onsite, grazing in the nearby Hevea plantations of herbs, grass and micro flora. This non intensive traditional farming prevents herbicidal practices with chemicals while activating rural solidarity and brings a natural and smooth fertilization of the soils. The program also aims to prove that opportunities exist for small farming in a province open to tourism, while the sacrifice of natural landscape to money and the so called "land development" is unnecessary here. In horticulture solutions of Chitosan are multifunctional : natural substance extracted from shrimp skin, it is an efficient reducer of foliar transpiration and a fertilizer. It is also a growth stimulator in tissue culture and an active biopesticide, ingredient of bactericides and fungicides for crops, ornamental plants and turf. It is part of the biological control of aphids and whiteflies ( Bemisia tabaci etc ) along with Green lacewings and Lady beetles .. Owing to its transpiration reducing properties it is particularly recommended when tropical plants face environments with lower than standard humidity levels of the air. Many phyto-caring products intended to increase resistance of plants to pathogenic agents and environment include Chitosan as the main ingredient of their formulation. These products also include vitamins and hormones. ( Besides, Chitosan is a bio-material known in Medicine for its valuable applications in surgery. ); 0.2 to 1 gr diluted in salicylic acid or any other non phyto-toxic acid will add to water to make 1 liter of solution.

In this online shop with door delivery we have plants that passed survival tests after 20 days or more in cartons under stressing conditions. We advise on plant care on Aleyagarden.com blogs, where customers' feedback is also present. Although each Hoya has specific requirements of light, humidity and temperature, a general method to cultivate tropical plants consists in using humidifiers and individual greenhouses ( plastic domes or large transparent plastic bags..) to completely cover the entire potted plant during an acclimatization period of several days. - this individual greenhouse is closed : there is no watering as the humidity of the soil suffices. After a few days or when the first green shoots are visible the greenhouse can be opened and watering, then fertilizing can start.
